Staff Accountant; Monmouth County, NJ

We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a hands-on role covering core accounting functions, with direct exposure to accounts payable, journal entries, and month-end close — a great fit for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting.

• Prepare and analyze journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
• Manage accounts payable
• Perform detailed account analysis and reconciliations to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Support payroll processing activities while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data
• Assist with month-end close, including ledger review, accruals, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
• Perform high-accuracy data entry and reporting using Excel

• Accounting experience in either a corporate (private) or public accounting setting
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core financial concepts
• Direct experience with accounts payable and journal entries
• Strong Excel skills and general Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills

• Experience with Quick Books, Sage, Xero, or similar accounting software
• Healthcare industry experience

Corporate accounting team within a healthcare services organization, based in Red Bank, NJ. This role is fully on-site, five days a week.
