MEP Superintendent - Atlanta, GA

Compensation: $165,000 - $250,000 / year

Description

As the MEP Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to oversee the MEP superintendents and implementation of on-site work for all components of a construction project related to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Oversee on-site work to manage internal MEP staff and subcontractors involved with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work on a daily basis on specific project.
  • Intimate familiarity with pharmaceutical and healthcare facilities and the planning involved with working in an active GMP or process facility.
  • Oversee schedule, budget, and tasks corresponding to the Construction, Post-Construction, and Maintenance phases of a project.
  • Work with safety director to ensure proper safety procedures.
  • Work with project team to develop schedules for MEP trades.
  • Able to review Preconstruction technical documents to ensure work is accurately portrayed and complete in scope based on an understanding of the overall scope and intent.
  • Assist purchasing with coordination of systems and buyout of major MEP contracts. Support development of scope of work descriptions.
  • Understanding and competency with commissioning and certification of GMP Pharmaceutical facilities.
Work Experience
  • 15+ years of experience working with mechanical, electrical and plumbing
  • Ability to read plans and specifications and perform quantity surveys.
  • Understanding of Construction Systems and CSI codes.
  • Working knowledge of building codes and ADA laws
  • 30 OSHA training
  • Familiar with GMP and FDA practices, commissioning, and certification of pharmaceutical process plants
  • Significant experience and strong understanding of the costs associated with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
Qualifications

BS Degree in construction, engineering or equivalent experience.
