Position Overview /

Purpose:

The Vendor Payables Specialist at SMG Holdings LLC plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions of our vendor payables department. This position requires a meticulous and organized individual who can efficiently handle high volume invoice processing and responses to invoice inquiries from our field partners across North America.

Responsibilities:
  • Resolve inquiries from vendors courteously and efficiently, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring smooth financial transactions.
  • Schedule and process outgoing vendor payments.
  • Approve vendor invoices in compliance with company policies and procedures to move forward in payment processing cycle.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable and payable, or general accounting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including but not limited to PowerPoint, Word, Excel (Pivot Tables, navigating larger data sets).
Other

Skills:
  • Industry WMS Systems Experience (Service Channel, Corrigo, Verisae, Fexa, Facil-IT, etc.) are a plus.
  • Managing high volume transactions within WMS Systems and ensuring compliance preferential.
  • Labor trade and pricing experience in the trades is a plus.
