As a Jr Mortgage Underwriter at MDE Home Loans, you will support the underwriting team by reviewing loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements. In this full‑time hybrid role based in Red Bank, NJ, you will work both on‑site and from home, assisting with the analysis of borrower documentation such as income, assets, credit reports, and property appraisals.

You will help identify potential risk factors, verify data, and prepare files for final underwriting decisions under the guidance of senior underwriters. Responsibilities include communicating with loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders to obtain missing information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely progression of loans through the pipeline. You will also help maintain detailed records, follow internal quality standards, and support continuous improvement of underwriting processes and customer service.

• Foundational knowledge or experience in the Mortgage Industry
  , with an interest in residential lending and home loan products.
• Demonstrated aptitude for Mortgage Underwriting and Underwriting principles, including familiarity with risk assessment and lending guidelines (training and mentorship provided for junior candidates).
• Ability to work with Mortgages
