Staff Accountant

Company Overview:

Commencing operations in January 2021, Marlin invests in and manages mortgage servicing rights (MSRs) and operates a fully integrated residential mortgage platform. Marlin and its affiliates master-service loans; own affiliated insurance, technology, and SEC-registered investment advisory businesses; and currently service approximately 170,000 loans nationwide.

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of mortgage loan funding
• Responsible for managing borrower payments
• Manage accounting transactions for all affiliated entities
• Analytically review key general ledger accounts
• Prepare consolidated subsidiary financial statements with accompanying notes
• Assist in preparation and compilation of reporting packages for the senior management team
• Assist in liquidity analysis and treasury functions
• Assist in the year end audit
• Assist in ad-hoc projects as they arise
• Work closely with all departments

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• Hands-on and detail oriented
• Eager to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills

$60K - $75K

This range may vary in other geographies based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
