Job Description

Our ICU team requires a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide evidence‑based, patient‑centered care during night shifts. Nurses will perform clinical care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver teaching to patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing practices according to evidence‑based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and excellent individualized patient care.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and other team members regarding patient status, rendered care and treatment plans.
  • Administer medications using bar‑scanning and documentation technologies designed to ensure safety.
  • Document point‑of‑care electronic assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations of rendered care.
  • Provide patient‑ and family‑centered education aimed at optimizing health, wellness, and disease management.
  • Discharge patients in a multidisciplinary fashion to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
  • BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
  • BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
  • Six (6) or more months of nursing experience, or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
  • Telemetry certification is a plus.
  • ACLS certification is preferred.
  • National certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and maintain a strong sense of accountability for improving patient and caregiver lives.
  • Excellent teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and a passion for delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused care.
Compensation

Minimum rate of $45.73 per hour. HM is committed to pay equity and transparency and the posted rate represents an estimate of the minimum base pay.

Job Duties & Compensation Details

The starting rate of pay is provided for informational purposes only and may be different based on market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and budget or grant factors. Certain positions may be eligible for shift differentials, performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions.
