Job SummaryAvoca Risk is seeking a Program Cyber Underwriter with 2–3 years of experience to join our growing team in Red Bank, NJ or the surrounding area
. This is a unique opportunity for a junior-level underwriter to help build and launch new specialty insurance programs from the ground up.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership to shape underwriting strategy, develop program infrastructure, and gain hands‑on experience across multiple lines—making this an ideal role for someone looking to accelerate their career in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
A Day in the Life- Underwrite new and renewal Cyber business
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop underwriting guidelines, rating models, and product strategies.
- Assist in the buildout of new programs, including market research, product design, and carrier engagement.
- Analyze submissions, assess risk, and determine pricing and coverage terms.
- Support broker relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
- Participate in QA and testing of underwriting platforms and tools.
- Help maintain documentation, workflows, and reporting tools to support underwriting operations.
- 1–3 years of underwriting experience in Cyber liability insurance.
- Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and innovate.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bonus:
CPCU, RPLU
, or other relevant certifications. - Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
