Foreman - Water and Sewer

The Borough of Red Bank Department of Utilities is seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman - Water and Sewer to join our team. This full‑time role supports the management and supervision of the Borough’s water distribution and sewage collection systems. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the Foreman will oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while leading a team of utility professionals.

The salary range for this position is $33.99 to $45.79 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. A complete job specification is attached.

• Monitoring operational standards, managing equipment and vehicle readiness.
• Investigating and responding to service requests.
• Preparing technical reports and compliance documentation.
• Overseeing pressure tests on water lines.
• Inspecting newly installed water and sewer lines for AWWA compliance.
• Supervising staff, planning and directing work activities, providing training and evaluations.
• Managing the scheduling of water/sewer maintenance programs.
• Ability to work in a variety of extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time and respond seven days a week, 24 hours a day for system emergencies as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must possess a State of New Jersey T-2 Public Water Treatment System Operator’s License, W-1 Public Water Distribution System Operator’s License, and C-1 Public Wastewater Collection System Operator’s License (or higher) issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
• Five years of relevant experience, including two years in a supervisory role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of utility system operations, regulatory compliance, and strong leadership skills are essential.
• A valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B License with an Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsement (N Endorsement) required.
