Residential Service Tech HVAC

A. J. Perri Plumbing, Heating, Cooling is seeking a Residential Service Tech- HVAC to deliver expert in-home heating and cooling service across New Jersey. In this field-based role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, perform safety checks and tune-ups, and clearly explain options and recommendations to homeowners. You'll represent a customer-focused, safety-conscious team that values professionalism and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential HVAC service, troubleshooting, and repair for heating and cooling systems
• Diagnose equipment issues and recommend solutions and replacement options to homeowners
• Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and system tune-ups
• Install and start up HVAC equipment and related components as assigned
• Explain findings, options, and preventive maintenance recommendations to customers
• Complete work orders, service tickets, and documentation accurately and on time
• Follow company and industry safety standards, codes, and best practices
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, safe working order
• Participate in on-call and emergency service rotations as needed
• Collaborate with dispatch, customer service, and team members to ensure timely, professional service
