Plant Groundman

We operate 93 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Virginia.

Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a Plant Groundman at our Red Bary Quarry in Red Bay, AL, part of the Alabama SMA. The position reports to the Plant Manager and requires a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and future growth.

• Day Shift
• Overtime available along with medical and retirement benefits

• General plant/mine labor and clean‑up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assisting with plant clean‑up and operations.
• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Perform daily pre‑ and post‑inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of safety and intermediate skill level.
• Receive training in various entry‑level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times.
• Report equipment problems and identify them to management.
• Perform light maintenance work and maintain belt lines.
• Assist with plant operator duties as needed.
• Complete equipment pre‑shift report – if applicable.
• Assist other workers or perform other duties as directed by management.
• Adhere to all company policies and OSHA, MSHA, and environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
