Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Maintaining equipment
- Conducting quality control testing.
- Compiling reports and keeping records.
- Ensuring compliance with operational policies and procedures.
- Diagnosing operating problems and making adjustments to optimize wastewater treatment processes.
- Monitoring and controlling rates of flow, sludge processing, and effluent treatment.
- Collecting samples and maintaining shift logs.
- Performing other duties as required.
- Prioritizing safety, health, and well‑being for yourself and your team.
- High school Diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain an Operator Certification within one year of hire.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to input data into a maintenance management system.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Working toward or holding an intermediate to advanced level wastewater treatment certification.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations, valves, pumps, and motors.
- Understanding of safe work practices.
Physical Requirements

Due to the nature of the job, a Fitness for Duty test is required to ensure candidates for this position are physically and functionally fit to perform the essential physical work functions without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others.
The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve specific levels of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases and chemicals.
The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.

The base salary range for this position is $37,900.00 to $73,000.00; though it will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
