Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week acute care assignment. The RN will provide care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, stroke, orthopedic injuries, abdominal pain, pediatric, and behavioral health patients. The department is a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center with approximately 100 patient visits per day. Candidates should be comfortable managing varying patient acuity levels and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary emergency care team.

RequirementsRequirements:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience (3–5 years preferred)
- Previous Level III Trauma experience or higher strongly preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- COVID vaccination required
- Experience caring for adult and pediatric emergency patients
- Experience with ventilated patients
- Familiarity with Cerner/First Net preferred
- Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 12-hour mid shifts with varied start times
- Every other weekend required
- First to float
- No routine floating outside the unit
- 2–3 days of unit-specific orientation
- 15-bed Emergency Department with a 6-bed Fast Track area
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, depending on acuity
- Central telemetry monitoring available
- Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy available 24/7
- Physician coverage on-site at all times
- High-volume emergency department treating a wide variety of medical, trauma, pediatric, and psychiatric cases
