Senior Manager – Expatriate Tax Services

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and training to the team in the preparation of Canadian and US individual tax returns.
  • Review Canadian and US individual income tax returns.
  • Day‑to‑day expatriate tax advice, including queries on individual relocations, payroll benefit taxation and reporting.
  • Research income tax issues and review memoranda or client letters regarding executive compensation, global equity plans, policy design and other expatriate tax issues.
  • Work closely with the Partner in charge of the practice to develop and support the team.
  • Explore future business opportunities with partners across Canada with respect to their clients.
  • Engage in business development initiatives to further grow the practice.

Experience and Education
  • Professional CPA designation.
  • 7 or more years of professional experience, part or all specializing in expatriate tax.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    French a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members nationally.
  • Interest in contributing to the training and development of team members.
