The Recovered Arts Collective seeks a dedicated individual with accounting experience to manage finances for a community-focused initiative. Your responsibilities include maintaining records, approving financial transactions, and collaborating with accounting professionals for monthly financial statements. The total commitment is about 4-5 hours a month for a year, including remote board meetings and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain thorough accounting records of transactions
• Approve financial transactions as a signatory
• Work with accountants for financial statement reviews
• Assist in applying for CRA charitable status
Requirements:
• Professional background in accounting or finance
• Familiarity with charity financial practices in Canada
• Welcome lived experiences of addiction
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Leadership experience in previous board roles a plus
