Position: Audit Committee Member for Chinook’s Edge
Location: Innisfail

Make a difference in financial oversight as an Audit Committee Member with Chinook’s Edge School Division. This role requires an accounting designation and independence from the Division.

Chinook’s Edge School Division is seeking two community members for a two-year term on the Audit Committee. You will assist the Board of Trustees and Superintendent with financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance issues. Members are essential for ensuring the Division upholds laws and regulations during audits and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with oversight of financial reporting processes

• Monitor compliance with financial laws and regulations

• Evaluate the audit process for effectiveness

• Review the Division's internal controls over financial matters

• Meet at least once annually to discuss findings

Requirements:

• Accounting designation required

• Independent of the Chinook’s Edge School Division

• No relationship with the audit firm involved

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Willingness to serve a two-year term
