Position: Development Services Financial Analyst Role
Join the City of Red Deer as a Development & Protective Services Financial Analyst for an 18-month term. Lead analytical initiatives, budget planning, and strategic financial operations.

This position plays a key role in supporting multiple operational divisions within the City of Red Deer. As a Financial Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in financial trends and processes to develop forecasts and reports aimed at enhancing decision-making. Expect to manage complex financial data with an emphasis on compliance and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough financial analysis and reporting

• Spearhead budget development and monitoring

• Advise on financial impacts and operational improvements

• Draft and present management reports and dashboards

• Lead cross-department projects and initiatives

Requirements:

• CPA designation paired with a degree in business or accounting

• Five years of relevant financial experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in project leadership

• Experience with accounting compliance and controls

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
