As the Finance Manager, you'll provide direction for financial services, guiding daily operations and mentoring finance staff. Your leadership will support internal departments in their fiscal responsibilities while ensuring accuracy in all financial processes. A commitment to building a high-performing team and upholding the municipality's values is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounting controls, taxation, and utilities
• Lead financial reporting and variance analysis
• Develop internal controls and ensure compliance
• Assist with budget development and forecasting
• Mentor and evaluate finance department staff
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree from a recognized university
• Minimum of 5 years of related supervisory experience
• Knowledge of Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards
• Proficiency with ERP software such as Townsuite
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
