Position Overview

The Human Resources (HR) Administrator supports the efficient and effective delivery of HR services across the organization. This role enhances accuracy and consistency in HR processes, reduces organizational risk, and contributes to a positive employee experience by ensuring staff receive timely, reliable information throughout the employment lifecycle.

The HR Administrator plays a critical role in the daily operations of the HR function by maintaining employee records and HRIS data, supporting recruitment and onboarding, coordinating benefits and payroll actions, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies, and serving as a key point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related inquiries.

Duties Benefits Administration
  • Manage employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide employees with clear, accurate information and support regarding benefit plans and related inquiries.
  • Ensure benefit and retirement plan deductions, remittances, and contributions are accurate and submitted according to required timelines.
Payroll Support
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pay profiles and related data within the HRIS.
  • Collect, validate, and submit payroll exceptions, modifications, and updates to ADP each pay cycle.
  • Review payroll registers after ADP processing to verify accuracy and ensure all changes have been applied correctly.
  • Prepare and process Records of Employment in compliance with legislative requirements.
Employee Records and HRIS System
  • Create, organize, and maintain complete, accurate, and confidential employee files and HRIS data.
  • Respond to information requests while protecting the confidentiality of all employee records and ensuring access is provided only to authorized parties.
  • Support ongoing improvements to HR data quality, documentation standards, and record keeping practices.
General HR Support
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, forms, and templates.
  • Support recruitment efforts by posting job advertisements, monitoring and distributing applications, coordinating reference checks, and preparing related documentation.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding to ensure positive, consistent processes for new and departing employees.
  • Provide administrative assistance in the delivery of employee programs, including recognition initiatives.
  • Contribute to HR projects, change initiatives, and process improvement activities as required.
  • Generate HR metrics, and reports to support reporting, decision-making and compliance.
  • Ensure all work adheres to employment legislation, organizational policies, and confidentiality requirements.
What We're Looking For
  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of related HR experience with a strong knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, and HR practices.
  • Experience working with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and managing employee data.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement with a focus on process and system efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support employees and leaders professionally and effectively.
