This is a senior leadership role for a proven construction professional who can oversee large, complex projects and mentor the teams around them. The position will be based on‑site in Red Deer, Alberta. Candidates who are not local are welcome to apply; the client is open to a Monday–Friday travel arrangement with a Living Out Allowance (LOA) for the right candidate.

- Lead constructability reviews during preconstruction and collaborate with estimating teams on project budgets
- Lead project tenders, bid levelling, scope reviews, and subcontractor award meetings
- Oversee execution of client contracts; lead OAC and Operational Review meetings
- Develop and review Project Execution Plans and Quality Control Plans
- Lead project start‑up, maintain oversight of project procedures, and manage schedule adherence — developing mitigation plans where needed
- Lead project forecasting and attend forecasting reviews with project teams
- Assist with risk management, including development of Risk Registers and Mitigation Plans
- Conduct regular site visits and QC inspections to ensure conformance with contract documents and shop drawings
- Mentor, develop, and evaluate project staff across assigned projects
- Champion a strong safety, ethics, and compliance culture on all projects
- Minimum 8 years of building construction leadership experience with a General Contractor — healthcare project experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Prior experience on large institutional or campus-scale projects (>$150M preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction cost management, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principles
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and lead high‑performing teams
- Advanced understanding of construction methods, materials, and installation tolerances
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Comfortable with lean construction principles and continuous improvement practices
- Able to reliably work on‑site in Red Deer, AB; travel M–F with LOA considered for the right candidate
- You have led complex, occupied or phased construction projects in healthcare or similar institutional environments
- You anticipate risk before it becomes a problem and build mitigation plans proactively
- You are as comfortable mentoring junior staff as you are presenting to owners and executives
- You drive operational excellence across your projects and share lessons learned openly
- Your track record on large GC projects speaks for itself
