Project Management is a unique service within Health Shared Services Capital Management where skilled teams are responsible for the planning, design, and construction of Capital and Operating building infrastructure projects at all healthcare sites within defined Zones. The Coordinator II – Project Management position reports to the Director, Program Manager and/or Senior Project Manager and supports assigned Project Teams through the entire project life cycle: initiation, planning and design, execution, close‑out, monitoring and control.
The Coordinator II serves as the liaison between stakeholders, consultants and the construction team, advising stakeholders on construction activities and informing the construction team of stakeholder concerns. Excellent communication skills are essential to balance stakeholder needs within project constraints.
Working under the leadership of a senior team member, duties include:
- Scoping activities and developing project schedules.
- Overseeing construction activities and ensuring compliance with facility guidelines.
- Coordinating building and operational commissioning and equipment installation.
- Reviewing preliminary project expenditures and recommending approvals.
- Coordinating service shut‑downs and participating in value engineering exercises.
- Contributing to successful achievement of scope, budget, schedule, quality and other performance standards to satisfy the client and organization within a safe working environment.
As a Coordinator II, you will require advanced or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex projects, procedures, practices or initiatives within a department, program or business unit.
Required Qualifications- Completion of a post‑secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent.

- Journeyman Trade Certificate and/or Diploma in a related architecture, building or engineering technology program.
- Minimum of five years of related commercial/institutional construction project management experience, preferably in hospital or healthcare facility construction or healthcare facility management.
- Proficiency with standard office desktop software.
- Five to seven years of related project management experience, preferably in hospital or healthcare facility construction or healthcare facility management.
- Experience with computer‑assisted project management scheduling, theories, principles, practices and processes, as well as accounting and financial reporting systems and processes.
