Position: Waste Management Facility Supervisor Role
The City of Red Deer is looking for a Waste Management Facility Supervisor to ensure facility compliance and operational efficiency. This full-time management position prioritizes safety and environmental standards.

As a Waste Management Facility Supervisor, you will supervise key operations at the facility, focusing on staff management and contractor performance. You will coordinate activities, enforce safety protocols, and lead initiatives for waste diversion and resource optimization. Effective communication with stakeholders will strengthen community relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise staff, focusing on training and performance

• Manage contractor compliance and address issues proactively

• Ensure waste management operations meet Alberta standards

• Design and implement effective workflows and procedures

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Waste Management

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in environmental services

• Proven supervisory experience is essential

• Capacity to obtain Landfill Operator Certification

• Comprehensive knowledge of waste management processes and compliance
