Drive Indigenous education excellence at Red Deer Polytechnic as the Dean of Indigenous Initiatives. Champion decolonization and reconciliation through strategic leadership and community collaboration.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Associate Vice President of Student Experience to enhance Indigenous initiatives. Focused on embedding Indigenous ways of knowing in curriculum and service areas, your leadership will engage community stakeholders and develop resources that support Indigenous students’ experiences. This position is instrumental in realizing RDP's Indigenization strategy and fostering partnerships that meet the evolving needs of the Indigenous community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and articulate a clear vision for Indigenous education

• Lead the development of Indigenous programs and services

• Facilitate partnerships with Indigenous organizations

• Oversee communication related to Indigenous initiatives

• Monitor progress and report on strategic priorities
Requirements:

• Preferred Master's Degree in related disciplines

• Minimum 5 years experience in Indigenous services roles

• Proven strategic planning and leadership capabilities

• Deep understanding of local Indigenous cultures

• Excellent communication and advocacy skills
