Assistant Deputy Fire Chief

Key Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, and supervise branch personnel

• Manage operational programs and ensure regulatory compliance

• Control budgets and allocate resources effectively

• Handle employee relations and grievances

• Serve as On-Call Chief Officer during emergencies

Requirements:

• Two-year certificate in Fire Service Administration Management

• Minimum eight years in emergency services, with supervisory experience

• Emergency Fire Dispatch – Q certification considered an asset

• Qualified Fire Officer Level II (NFPA 1021) preferred

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
