If you said yes to these questions, then we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for YOU!

Catholic Social Service's Home Support program is currently looking for a 1:1 Community Companion Volunteer who enjoys being active and can provide positive encouragement for a male client with disabilities.

The ideal candidate for this volunteer position would be available to volunteer 1-2 hours in the afternoon per week.

If you are someone who enjoys participating in physical sports or active activities, then this volunteer placement might be the right fit for you!

Desired Skills/Abilities:

• Must have a gentle and patient manner
• Positive, healthy interpersonal and excellent listening skills
• Reliable, patient, enthusiastic, creative, and flexible in thinking
• Mature reasoning skills
• Ability to set and follow personal boundaries
• Access to diverse Agency training
• Skill based volunteering which allows volunteers to develop their talents
• Creating new relationships by increasing social connections
• Ability to make recommendations for program development
• Quality supervision and support
• Meaningful recognition
• Reference letters upon completion of 25 hours or more

Commitment is 6 months or more for this volunteer placement.
