Red Deer is looking for a Program Specialist to focus on Family and Community Support Services (FCSS). This role entails overseeing program planning, evaluation, and community engagement to tackle current issues and generate preventative social initiatives. Collaboration with community organizations and various stakeholders is essential for this role to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct training and development of staff and volunteers
• Evaluate and improve community programs and projects
• Manage and report on funding agreements and compliance
• Forge partnerships with community and government entities
• Engage communities to identify and strategize solutions
Requirements:
• University degree with a focus on community development
• Minimum five years’ relevant experience required
• Significant experience with volunteer boards
• Strong knowledge of community services and funding processes
• Excellent public speaking and written communication skills
