As a Relationship Manager, you will manage relationships with local producers and oversee a developing loan portfolio. You’ll tailor financing packages to meet customers’ needs and facilitate approvals to help them succeed.
Key Responsibilities- Work with customers to build financing packages that meet their business needs.
- Be accountable for the execution of loans, including sales, loan structure, gathering and preparing financial documentation, securing approvals, and collaborating with internal teams.
- Build relationships with FCC customers and internal partners.
- Identify opportunities to expand the loan portfolio.
- Travel to customer farms and offices to understand their business needs and provide tailored support.
- Analyze customer financial information.
- Create, process and approve new credit facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, commerce or a related field.
- Minimum one year of related experience in ag finance, lending, credit analysis, business development or sales (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience communicating financial information or recommendations clearly to customers or internal partners.
- Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships, including engaging with customers, centres of influence or community partners.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel for customer meetings.
- Passion for agriculture, with knowledge of farming operations or agribusiness environments.
- Customer service experience, ideally in a financial, agricultural or advisory setting.
