Position Overview

As a Relationship Manager, you will manage relationships with local producers and oversee a developing loan portfolio. You’ll tailor financing packages to meet customers’ needs and facilitate approvals to help them succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with customers to build financing packages that meet their business needs.
  • Be accountable for the execution of loans, including sales, loan structure, gathering and preparing financial documentation, securing approvals, and collaborating with internal teams.
  • Build relationships with FCC customers and internal partners.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the loan portfolio.
  • Travel to customer farms and offices to understand their business needs and provide tailored support.
  • Analyze customer financial information.
  • Create, process and approve new credit facilities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, commerce or a related field.
  • Minimum one year of related experience in ag finance, lending, credit analysis, business development or sales (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience communicating financial information or recommendations clearly to customers or internal partners.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships, including engaging with customers, centres of influence or community partners.
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel for customer meetings.
  • Passion for agriculture, with knowledge of farming operations or agribusiness environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience, ideally in a financial, agricultural or advisory setting.
