We provide high-quality industrial workforce solutions and safety training across the region, and we pride ourselves on filling the critical gaps that the corporate giants miss.

We are expanding our footprint and looking for an experienced, independent Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead new client acquisition.

The Opportunity

This is a pure "hunter" role designed for a self-motivated sales professional who wants maximum flexibility. Whether you are an established B2B sales rep looking for a lucrative side hustle, a semi-retired industrial professional with a massive local network, or an independent broker, this role offers complete autonomy.

You choose your hours. Your sole focus is identifying local companies that utilize temporary or contract industrial labor (oil & gas, warehousing, construction, manufacturing, processing) and getting North Forge on their vendor list.

What You’ll Do (The 15-Hour Focus)
  • Targeted Outreach: Identify and connect with Operations Managers, Plant Directors, and HR Leads across the region.
  • Relationship Building: Secure and conduct 2 to 3 face-to-face introductory meetings or site visits per week.
  • Deal Closing: Present our rate structures, negotiate contract terms, and secure new job orders.
What We are Looking For
  • Industrial Alignment: You understand the blue-collar landscape. You know the difference between a shop hand and a skilled ticketed tradesperson, and you can talk shop comfortably on a job site or in a boardroom.
  • Proven B2B Sales Track Record: You know how to cold call, overcome objections, bypass gatekeepers, and close deals.
  • Self-Accountability: With only 15 hours a week, efficiency is everything. You manage your time ruthlessly and track your pipeline diligently in our CRM.
  • An Existing Network: A local rolodex of industrial or manufacturing contacts in Alberta is a massive asset.
