Business Development Manager
Old Dutch Foods is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and manage Independent Contractors and Sales Representatives within a fast-paced consumer goods environment.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve sales and expense targets within assigned budgets
- The ability to coach and lead the Independent Contractors and Company Sales Personnel in identifying and closing account development opportunities. I.e. space, merchandising, promotion, and distribution.
- Identify and close development opportunities within retail grocery and convenience accounts
- Improve route efficiency and increase market penetration through route additions and route engineering
- Build and develop a high-performing sales team and foster relationships with Independent Contractors through hands‑on field sales work withs and dock to docks.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and respond quickly to and report competitive activity
- Achieve account development objectives through effective goal setting and productive rapport with customers, Independent Contractors, and Company Sales Personnel.
- Identify opportunities on the customer’s behalf so you can recommend the service levels based on the established Service Guidelines for an Independent Contractor or Company Salesperson to meet the customer’s expectations and needs.
- 2+ years of consumer goods sales experience
- Experience in food distribution/grocery retail
- Strong people leadership background
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Motivated closer with strong leadership skills
