Position: Inside Sales Representative (Temporary)

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Air Liquide Canada is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to join the Red Deer Branch for a 14‑month term with a completion bonus based on performance if you work the full 14 months.

Experience confidently engaging customers face to face is essential. This role focuses on building rapport, understanding customer needs, and closing deals—primarily from our Red Deer Branch and occasionally Rocky Mountain House.

Inside Sales Representative (Temporary) – 14 Month Term
  • Listen actively to customers and advise them on products, prices, and availability.
  • Answer technical questions.
  • Receive and process customer orders via phone, email, fax, or other communication channels.
  • Prepare quotations and standard tender requests.
  • Provide support to local account executives for back‑office activities.
  • Perform phone “cold‑calls” for network customers and “blitz” in select market segments.
  • Conduct post‑sales follow‑up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Organize the display of products in the store.
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders, confirming delivery slips and coordinating with logistics for cylinder replenishment.
  • Use welding knowledge and experience to deliver products and help customers select appropriate supplies.
  • Learn new computer systems to provide accurate pricing and quotes.
  • Track orders and cylinders, expanding knowledge in logistics.
  • Plan delivery routes and follow ALC’s safety policies diligently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including product displays.
  • Travel to other locations for store coverage as needed.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years of industry experience in customer service or sales of welding or industrial products.
  • Knowledge of welding processes and products is an asset.
  • Knowledge of computer systems such as Google Suites, Servitrax, Oracle, SAP, and CRM’s like Salesforce.
  • Class 5 driver’s licence.
  • Positive attitude and customer‑service focus.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
