Fire Extinguisher Technician

Total Group of Companies is an industrial service company specializing in fire, rescue, medical, and HSE services. With facilities in Elora, Ontario, as well as Red Deer, Guelph, and Winnipeg, we proudly service clients across Canada.

Total Group is actively seeking a full time Fire Extinguisher Technician to start as soon as possible. This is a full time, permanent position that requires occasional evening or weekend work.

Under the direct supervision of the Fire Systems Technician, daily tasks and activities include but are not limited to:

· Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance (at the shop and in the field)

· Perform general shop duties

· Occasional field work

· Driving to client sites

· Working with pressurized systems / chemicals

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

· Authorized to work in Canada and possess a valid SIN

· Be 19 years of age or older

· Have a valid drivers license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience

· Be able to produce a satisfactory driving abstract

· Be physically fit with the ability to lift 50-75lbs consistently

· Be able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, including working at heights

· Be willing and able to travel out of town

· Be willing and able to work outdoor, in varying weather conditions

· Be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing

· Possess standard safety certifications – training may be provided for the right candidates
