Empringham Disposal invites a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join our local team. Apply your skills in maintenance and repair within our growing waste management company.
This full-time position is ideal for a certified Journeyman or an experienced Apprentice with a strong background in heavy-duty repair. You will inspect and maintain essential equipment, working indoors and outdoors under varied conditions. Your expertise in troubleshooting and safety will be invaluable in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and diagnose issues with heavy equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and system checks
• Document repairs and service histories
• Collaborate with coworkers to ensure equipment efficiency
• Mentor apprentices in safety and operational standards
Requirements:
• Certified Journeyman HET or registered Apprentice
• 3 years heavy equipment experience required
• Proficient in diesel engine repair and hydraulics
• Experience with waste collection equipment is a plus
• Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
