Our team will give you this opportunity, in addition, we provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA). We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items.
As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
How you will do it
1st year apprentices will be trained and will perform work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.Apprentices will participate in certified trainings through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.What we look for
Interests in the industry servicing mechanical and Controls systems in the HVAC-R fields.Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in how systems workWillingness to learn and take direction from senior techniciansPhysically capable of lifting, climbing ladders, and working in varying environmentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workEffective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently.Prioritize safety in all forms.This position requires a valid Alberta driver’s license.Technical & Practical Skills
Basic understanding of tools, mechanical systems, or construction environmentsAbility to read simple drawings, instructions, or work ordersComfortable using hand and power toolsBasic troubleshooting or problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills when working with team and customersRelevant Experience & Transferable Skills

This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
