Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing team. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel- and gas-powered generators and related systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on mechanical experience with heavy equipment and a strong understanding of power generation systems.

• Perform diagnostic tests, preventative maintenance, and repairs on diesel and gas engines
• Complete routine inspections/services and accurately document findings
• Respond to field service calls
• Routine equipment repair
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards

• Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Registered Heavy-Duty Mechanic Apprentice preferred; willing to train candidate who has a strong interest in pursuing a career in the mechanical trade.
• Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics and load testing
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Must live within commuting distance
• Safety certifications/tickets are considered an asset
