Municipal Heavy Equipment Technician in Alberta

Your role will involve maintaining city machinery and ensuring operational safety.
As part of a robust municipal government team, you will diagnose and repair various equipment and heavy vehicles. Your work will include preventative maintenance, conducting inspections, and providing guidance to apprentices in a collaborative environment. Each task will play an important part in supporting public safety and city operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical systems in vehicles
• Maintain and repair heavy equipment and transit buses
• Perform safety inspections and document tasks
• Respond to field service calls and minor repairs
• Liaise with suppliers for technical assistance
Requirements:
• Grade 11 and an Alberta Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate
• Valid Class 3 Driver's License required
• Experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair manuals
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures
