As a Gas Compression Tech
, you’ll put your skills into action by partnering directly with customers to keep their operations running at peak performance. You’ll troubleshoot and oversee repairs on a wide range of Caterpillar gas and diesel engines- both in the shop and out in the field - leveraging your technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on.

Your work will include:

• Field diagnosis and running repairs
• Large-scale overhauls and rebuilds
• Component replacements
• Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification (Millwright and Automotive also accepted)
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful drivers abstract required for field positions
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Previous CAT general line experience including troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of CAT engine and powertrain components
• 2 years experience on gas engines and compressors
• 2 years experience operating a service truck
• Completion, or in the process of completing Finning S-level courses
• Team player will have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills

• Various options of location and shifts throughout Alberta and Northern BC
• Must be able and willing to travel to and from customer sites across our territory
• Tooled company truck supplied, hotel & per diem or camp when travelling
• A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respiratorwhere applicable

This is a unionized position. Union dues will be deducted from your pay upon hire. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
