Position Summary

Labourers at On Side are important team members who help rebuild and restore damaged personal and commercial property, anywhere and anytime disaster strikes. Labourers are the MVP of the restoration teams. Willing to learn, love being taught and full of ambition, the Labourer knows they’re going places in life, and this is the first stop on the way to success!

Compensation

Salary Range: $21-$23/hour
Overtime opportunities (where applicable)

What You’ll Do

Tackle physical work with energy and enthusiasm
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Assist with demolition and emergency mitigation after floods, fires, and other disasters
Support multiple teams through cross-training in remediation, contents cleaning, emergency response, and rebuild
Help with finishing work like carpentry, trim, and fine details

What You Bring

Experience and desire to do physical work
Understanding and experience using hand and power tools
Willingness to follow all company safety requirements including wearing full PPE as required:
Full face masks require clean shave (if applicable)
Interest in cross training in Remediation, Contents Cleaning, Emergency, Rebuild and helping all teams
Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)
Curious nature, always want to know how things happen
Strong people, teamwork and communication skills
Attention to detail, ability to follow directions
A safety mindset
Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
