Material Estimating 2 Position Overview
Build strong time management and organizational skills by managing multiple projects simultaneously; plays a crucial role in planning and budgeting stages by reviewing project plans and specifications to determine materials required for manufacturing projects.
Principal Accountabilities- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine material requirements and costs.
- Prepare detailed material estimates, and overhead costs for various projects.
- Retrieve Bill of Material requirements from CostPoint.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility in material selection.
- Monitor market trends and material prices to provide up-to-date estimates and competitive pricing.
- Assist in the development of proposals and bids for new projects.
- Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident per ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign person per ITAR.
- Bachelor's degree with minimum of 3 years of experience in material estimating within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
