Position Summary

BGI is seeking an experienced EHS Technician to support an active project site in southeastern Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will have field-level experience in construction or energy generation environments, with a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and a commitment to field safety excellence.

While contractors may reside anywhere in the U.S., onsite presence in Oklahoma is required for the duration of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily job site inspections to ensure compliance with EHS policies and regulatory standards
  • Monitor field activities for potential hazards and communicate safety expectations
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Maintain thorough and accurate safety documentation and inspection logs
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and field training
  • Work closely with site leadership and field crews to foster a proactive safety culture
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, company, and client-specific safety requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of EHS experience in construction or energy generation
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS best practices
  • Strong observational, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based, fast-paced environment
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • BCSP certification preferred (e.g., CHST, STS)
  • Prior experience supporting energy generation projects
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
Additional Details
  • Per diem is provided for this role
  • Estimated contract duration: 6 to 12 months
  • Must be able to remain on-site in Oklahoma during the contract
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Availability to travel as necessary within the United States.
