Sr Technical Leadership Development Instructor

Design, deliver, and continuously improve leadership and technical training programs that build individual and team capability. Apply adult learning and Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) principles to analyze needs, develop content and assessments, facilitate learning in classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job settings, and evaluate program effectiveness.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Conduct or support performance analysis and needs assessments to define learning objectives and measurable behaviors for leadership training.
  • Design and develop training using adult learning and SAT principles, including facilitator guides and participant materials that measurably shift leadership behaviors, decision quality, and team effectiveness.
  • Develop and administer assessments (exams, performance evaluations) and incorporate feedback from trainees, leaders, and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Respond to emergent training needs and performance issues by adapting content and delivery approaches.
  • Facilitate leadership development programs, workshops, and learning experiences for audiences across the organization.
  • Provide coaching and actionable feedback to learners to improve performance in classroom and on-the-job settings.
  • Adapt facilitation and instructional methods to meet the needs of different audiences and learning contexts.
  • Serve as a credible facilitator and thought partner, building trust through strong presence and subject‑matter acumen.
  • Manage end‑to‑end program execution, including scheduling, logistics, coordination, materials, and participant experience.
  • Coordinate, lead, and conduct training per applicable standards, codes, and requirements for the program(s) supported.
  • Maintain program administrative requirements such as records, performance indicators, and reporting.
  • Periodically support program assessment activities to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Partner with business, operations, and talent stakeholders to align learning solutions to strategy, performance needs, and workforce requirements.
  • Support activities necessary to maintain alignment with industry training program requirements and contribute to self‑assessments and other program evaluations.
  • Ensure learning content, delivery, and evaluation practices meet applicable regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Contribute insights from program delivery and learner/leader interactions to inform future program design and enhancements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Leadership, Business, Engineering/Technical discipline, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Alternative:
    Diploma/GED plus Associate’s degree or equivalent combined with relevant instructional and/or technical experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience in training/learning roles (leadership development, technical training, talent management, human resources, instructional design, or facilitation), including experience delivering training to adult learners.
  • Demonstrated facilitation/instruction experience in classroom and/or practical settings (e.g., lab, simulation, or on‑job).
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles; familiarity with SAT principles and training program evaluation practices.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills with the ability to establish credibility with leaders and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage program logistics/administration while also designing content and delivering instruction in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.
  • NANT qualified instructor (or ability to obtain within 1 year of assignment) where required.
