Direct Service Professional
The Direct Service Professional advances the skills of individuals with disabilities by providing assistance with personal enrichment, social and community engagement. These supports are provided on-site or in the community. Provides daily guidance and support to ensure goals of participants are met.
The Direct Service Professional also plans and prepares class curriculum/lesson plans and teaches classes. Assists with inter-personal skill development. Completes case notes in a timely and accurate manner. Assists with personal care needs and supports of consumers as needed.
* High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with further training in health/rehabilitation preferred. Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successfully complete DHS background study prior to beginning employment.
* CPR and 1st Aid training provided once hired.
* Possess valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; insurable at non-risk rates.
