As a Sex Offense Treatment Therapist, you will provide services in a sex offense-specific treatment (SOTP) program, which includes the following components:
Security, Assessment, Education, Therapeutic, and Transitional Programming of clients. You will also serve as a resource of clinical and corrections expertise to less experienced staff and to ensure the ongoing provision of a wide range of services, including mental health and sex offense-specific treatment in the program. This position provides lead work for other staff within the SOTP program unique to Red Wing by offering routine clinical supervision and support.
Work is in a Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF) - Red Wing with incarcerated individuals.
** Minimum Qualifications*
* To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. Ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experience sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
+ Current Minnesota licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g. LICSW, LPCC, and LMFT) as defined by MS 245.462, subd. 18, clause 1-6.
+ Master's Degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral science program.
+ Two (2) years of experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy.
Applicants meeting the above minimum qualifications will be further assessed in the following:
+ Verbal and written communication skills, including proficient documentation skills.
+ Interpersonal and human relation skills.
+ Ability to formulate and implement an individualized treatment plan; provide sex offense treatment; and develop a continuing care plan under limited supervision.
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Advanced degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health/Science program
+ Experience screening and interviewing clients for sex offense treatment.
+ Experience working in a correctional/secured environment.
+ Experience providing services to clients diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
+ Experience providing services to clients with intellectual disabilities.
+ Experience providing lead work to other behavioral health program staff.
+ Experience providing services to clients with a substance use disorder.
** Physical Requirements*

** Additional Requirements*
* The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections' policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.
