Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
SUMMARY: To provide support during promotions and entertainment functions. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist at on and off property events
- Set up and tear down promotional events and drawings
- Greet and guide guests and provide event, promotion, entertainment and amenity information
- Explain promotions, register guests for drawings and hand out promotional items
- Ensure event rules and regulations are followed
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- 1-year hospitality or guest service
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Required:
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Required:
- Ability to work fast and efficiently
- Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in an upbeat, professional and courteous manner
- Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
- Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
- Ability to enthusiastically and professionally sell and / or up-sell Treasure Island and its amenities
- Treasure Island guest service training
- TIPS training and certification
- Any position-related training as determined by department manager
- Must be able to walk and / or stand for long periods of up to 8 hours
- Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel, reach and twist routinely
- Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
- Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds occasionally
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Must have good eye hand coordination
- Work is performed on the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
- Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
- Occasionally overtime may be required
- Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
- High volume direct public contact
