The targeted hiring range for this position is $15.38–$20.00 per hour depending on qualifications; the expanded range provides opportunities for advancement. Pay is determined by role, level, and location, and factors such as skills, competencies, experience, and education.

Prepare and disassemble event spaces.

Maintain cleanliness throughout the entire hotel property to ensure high standard of guest service and satisfaction.

Clean and maintain the appearance of the hotel event spaces.

Set up and disassemble meeting room functions.

Provide event chairs, tables, linen, audio/visual equipment set‑up and support.

Report issues to supervisor immediately.

Comply with all Health and Fire Code guidelines for safe handling of food and beverages.

Work as a team player and actively contribute to the success of the bar/restaurant/event experience.

Coordinate activities with all departments to ensure services are provided efficiently and timely.

Maintain knowledge of St. James Hotel electronic communication software.

Enforce organizational quality system standards to maintain quality service.

Perform housekeeping duties related to event spaces, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and shampooing floors.

Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and frequently lift up to 100 pounds, including bending, crawling and climbing a ladder.

• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.
• Physical ability to lift, move, bend, crawl and climb, with loads up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently.
