Job Title: HP Indigo Press Operator
As an HP Indigo Press operator, you will set up, adjust, and operate semi-automated printing machines and prepare items for the next step. This role ensures quality standards are met and only products meeting company standards are passed onto the next step or packaged to ship to customers.
This role requires strong order process knowledge, attention to detail, accountability, teamwork, and a forward-thinking mindset.
Responsibilities- Operate HP Digital Machines, including setup, printing, and light machine maintenance as necessary
- Operate packaging/labeling, production reporting processes, digital printing, laminating, and die cutting for preco press
- Queue files in the computer, batch orders by type, and group similar jobs to minimize scrap and machine downtime; ensure appropriate dies are in place
- Set up and adjust machines for proper operation
- Troubleshoot process and quality issues; consult with supervisor/technicians for problem solving
- Ensure proper materials (inks, dies, foils) are used according to BOM and non-BOM items
- Demonstrate flexibility through cross-training and helping other departments as needed
- Accurately log scrap and other information as requested
- Follow safety policies and perform duties safely
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or EBS
- Proficient computer navigation with Microsoft Office and other software
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accountability
- Strong communication skills across departments
- Ability to manage a high volume of projects in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Tolerate odors from ink and cleaners
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Outstanding communication skills
