Operations Manager, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
Responsible for supervising Instrument and Controls maintenance work crews. Responsible for interfacing and coordinating with the station work groups and processes to ensure smooth execution of scheduled work activities in the maintenance department.
Essential Responsibilities- Safe execution of daily maintenance work activities; reviews work to be executed that day.
- Lead daily crew briefings, make work assignments, and conduct pre‑job briefings.
- Observe job site to ensure safety and quality standards are practiced.
- Work with operations, scheduling, planning and engineering to resolve equipment issues.
- Interface with operations and scheduling to ensure equipment is worked to schedule.
- Handle impromptu changes to the daily work plan.
- Work with engineering and procurement on configuration control and quality parts.
- Attend scheduling meetings for the Work Management Process.
- Ensure proper execution of work within a work week by addressing preparedness items.
- Participate in station improvement initiatives such as safety, human performance, and equipment improvement teams.
- Support training: serve on Training Committee, oversee on‑the‑job training, and conduct On‑the‑Job Training/Task Performance Evaluation (OJT/TPE) programs.
- High school diploma.
- Two years of post‑high school education or equivalent work experience in engineering or a related technical field.
- Five years of experience in nuclear, fossil, similar industrial facility, or military experience preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support a changing work schedule as required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Experience with Instrument and Controls.
Salary range: $97,600.00 to $ per year.
