As a Machinist II you will tap into your curiosity, collaborate with top talent, and contribute to product quality and innovation:
- Run and set up manual mills, lathes, vertical machining centers, CNC lathes and other shop equipment; select proper fixtures and tooling; machine steels, aluminums, composites, plastics and rubbers.
- Write and edit machine programs to enable correct tool path, cutting speed and feeds.
- Write and review setup sheets and specifications to define setup procedure, machining sequence and dimensions.
- Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions, troubleshoot alarms, replace tools, and perform routine maintenance.
- Measure work pieces for conformance to material and dimensional tolerances, and adjust feed, speed and cutters as required.
- Possess a two‑year machining degree or certificate and at least two years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
- OR possess G&M Code Programming certification and at least three years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Available to work first shift and overtime during the week and/or weekend as needed.
- Reliable commute or willing to relocate to Red Wing, MN 55066 before starting work.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Maintain neat and orderly work area and promote safe conditions.
Rate of pay: $37.03 per hour. Pay may vary based on experience, training, and location.
