SB Foot Tanning Company is looking for a 3rd Shift Equipment Maintenance Technician / Steam Plant Stationary Engineer to be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all equipment owned and operated by SB Foot Tanning Company; primarily boiler operations, repairing production equipment, and site maintenance. Hours are Sunday night through Friday morning 9:30pm
-6am with frequent overtime offered/required based upon seniority and business demands. Base pay for this position ranges from $29.60 to $32.35 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Must comply with all SB Foot Tanning Co. policies and procedures including but not limited to safety and quality. This job description does not list all the duties of the job. You may be asked by your supervisor or managers to perform other duties.
- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting / repairing all manufacturing machines and support equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
- Operate and maintain high pressure steam plant.
- Must be able to identify and operate basic tools and materials used in machine repair.
- Possess basic trouble shooting knowledge in hydraulics.
- pneumatics, motors, pumps, and industrial control systems.
- Have a basic understanding of electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for the installation of new machinery, troubleshooting and repairing of both mechanical and electrical systems on production equipment.
- Must be able to operate a test meter, its functions and test different voltages.
- Have basic knowledge of pneumatics dealings with regulators, valves, tracing airlines and their functions.
- Ability to effectively utilize parts and service manuals.
- Work with machine operators on preventative maintenance of machines (oil & cleaning of machines) and workstations.
- Work orders will be prioritized and completed as scheduled to support the needs of manufacturing.
- Ability to prioritize and work efficiently and safely to meet the demands of plant operations.
- Represent the company in a professional manner.
- Insure a clean and safe work environment to support production throughout the facility.
- Good organizational skills and self-motivated to maintain/improve the work environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain technical knowledge by participating in formal and informal educational workshops, classes, and presentations.
