River Valley Lawnscape is hiring a Property Maintenance Crew Lead to join our growing Lawnscape team. This is a full‑time seasonal position with strong potential to transition into a full‑time, year‑round career for the right candidate.

We are seeking an experienced lawn care and property maintenance professional who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and wants consistent hours with a company that has been trusted in the Red Wing and Lake City area for over 30 years.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating commercial‑grade equipment, and leading a small crew while remaining hands‑on in the field.

As a Crew Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining residential and commercial properties to the highest standards while leading daily operations for a two‑person crew. You will manage job flow, ensure work is completed efficiently and safely, and represent River Valley professionally at customer properties.

This role provides steady, year‑round work, with lawn care and landscaping during the growing season and snow removal and winter property maintenance during the winter months.

Target schedule is approximately 40 hours per week year‑round, with flexibility based on workload and seasonal needs.

• Lead lawn care and property maintenance crews on residential and commercial properties
• Perform weekly mowing, trimming, edging, and shrub pruning
• Complete seasonal services including spring preparation and fall cleanups
• Operate commercial zero‑turn mowers and professional lawn care equipment
• Perform snow removal, plowing, salting, and ice management during winter
• Load, unload, and maintain tools, equipment, and trailers
• Drive company trucks and trailers to and from job sites
• Interact professionally with customers and represent River Valley on‑site
• Support basic equipment maintenance and mechanical upkeep
• Ensure crew safety, productivity, and quality standards are consistently met

This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined and enjoys operating and maintaining professional equipment.

Required:

• Minimum of 1 year professional lawn care, landscaping, or property maintenance experience
• Experience operating commercial mowing equipment and power tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and lead a small crew

Preferred:

• Experience with snow removal, plowing, and ice management
• Experience operating trailers and commercial equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance skills
• Leadership or crew lead experience

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Full mobility to safely operate equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, snow, and varying terrain

• Monday through Friday
• Typical hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Additional hours as needed based on workload, weather, and seasonal demands

• $22.00 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, skill level, and season
