Goodhue County Health & Human Services is seeking qualified applicants for a Child Protection Case Management Social Worker. The position provides support to families through Child Welfare Services and may involve a range of duties depending on unit needs.
Responsibilities- Works with families on an ongoing basis to address risk factors and increase safety.
- Collaborates as part of a multi-disciplinary team with law enforcement, the county attorney's office, Guardian ad Litem's office, and other community agencies.
- Engages families and supports to collect information about families, assess the safety and well-being of children, and develop plans to ensure safety and access to resources.
- Places and supervises children in foster home placements when necessary to ensure child safety.
- Provides written court reports and court testimony as needed.
- Completes thorough and timely documentation that meets state and agency standards and complies with all data practices requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related human services field and at least two (2) years of full-time work experience as a Social Worker in a public or private human services agency.
- OR a Master’s Degree in social work or related field may substitute for up to one year of required Social Worker experience.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Required Social Work experience must have occurred after receipt of Bachelor’s Degree.
County employees receive competitive pay and a generous benefit offering. The Child Protection Social Worker is compensated at salary grade 112, with annual compensation ranging from $73,860.80 to $. Starting pay will be $73,860 per year.
