Highway Equipment Operator
Goodhue County is actively recruiting qualified applicants for a Highway Equipment Operator located in the Cannon Falls shop of the Public Works department.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Snow plowing, ice control and sanding
- Maintenance of bituminous road surfaces
- Highway Right-of-Way maintenance
- Preventative maintenance on trucks, equipment, buildings and grounds
- Gravel road maintenance and bituminous highway shouldering
Minimum qualifications:
High school education or equivalent and two or more years' experience in the operation of heavy equipment and/or a Technical College certification in equipment operation.
Class "A" Commercial Driver's License.
Salary & Benefits
County employees receive competitive pay and a generous benefit offering. This position is compensated at a Grade 108 ($56,576 - $87,713) on the County pay scale with the starting compensation at $27.20 - $28.56 per hour depending upon qualifications.
